제목 Thermal properties and flame retardancy of epoxy resin compositions containing azomethine bonding
초록 Epoxy resin compositions with azomethine bonding were studied on the view of self-extinguishing properties without retardant additives and suitability as materials of eco-friendly EMC(Epoxy molding compound). In this study, epoxy resin compositions were prepared and cured using azomethine epoxy resin and hardner of phenol derivatives. Their properties - structures of epoxy resin compositions, heat release capacity, modulus, thermal expansion, thermal degradation and flame retardancy - were obtained by PCFC, DMA, TMA, TGA, UL94 and LOI method. Epoxy resin compositions containing azomethine bonding achieved high LOI values and low UL-94 classification than biphenyl phenol novolac resin due to their proper crosslinking density and high char yield. And the relations among HRC, UL94 and LOI are reviewed.
