제목 Mixing characteristics of lard and canola mixed oil in the biodiesel production
초록 The raw materials of biodiesel are vegetable oil, animal fat and waste cooking oil. Animal fat is excellent compared to vegetable oil in oxidation stability and has advantages of a high cetane number and heating value. However, because it contains a lot of saturated fatty acids compared to vegetable oil, it has a shortcoming why it exists as a solid at room temperature. Therefore, in this study, biodiesel having superior performance was produced using a mixed oil which blends animal fat and vegetable oil. By adjusting the ratio of saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids mixed in a cetain percentage(1:9~9:1) of lard and canola oil, the optimum mixing ratio for the production of biodiesel having the best performance is determined. As this experiments were performed in some variables which were alcohol/mixed oil reaction molar ratio(6~15), the reaction time and temperature of the methanolysis and ethanolysis were set to 60min/55℃ and 80min/65℃, respectively.
