제목 Synthesis of Glycol Chitosan-reduced Gold Nanoparticles for Detection of Ischemic Stroke
초록 Many researchers have studied about Gold nanoparticles(AuNPs). AuNPs are known for several advantages as a bio-material, specially, a computed tomographycontrast agent due to their high X-ray absorption. However, bare AuNPs are not stable enough in physiological condition and they only have weak targeting effect without a targeting moiety. For these reasons, it is necessary to modify surface of AuNPs. Glycol chitosan(GC) is one of the famous candidates for surface modification owing to their biocompatibility. GC was used as the reducing agent of AuNPs and the coating material to enhance stability of AuNPs. Ischemic stroke is a brain disease that clot stops blood supply to an area of the brain. Fibrin, one of the coagulation factors, can be a target of ischemic stroke imaging. GC-reduced AuNPs(GC-AuNPs) were reacted with fibrin-targeting peptide which targets the coagulation factor. Finally, we fabricated fibrin-targeting GC-AuNPs(Fib-GC-AuNPs) for effective ischemic stroke detection.
