제목 Flame Retardancy and Mechanical Properties of nanoclay filled HDPE composites prepared by Gamma-ray Irradiation
초록 High density polyethylene (HDPE) and its composites are widely used as electrical cable and wire, bearing component due to its good mechanical and electrical properties and resistance to chemicals and harsh environments. The inherent flammability of HDPE has limited as its application in some field where good flame retardancy is required. In this study, we have investigated the nanoclay filled HDPE composite, which has good flame retardancy while maintaining high mechanical properties. In addition, we have investigated the role of a gamma-ray irradiation and the addition antioxidant on the properties of HDPE composites.
