제목 Synthesis of Poly(propylene glycol)-Based Emulsion for Improving Biocompatibility and Fire Resistance of Paint
초록 Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) has been an important type of hydrophilic polymers for the synthesis of emulsions because of its critical properties such as good biocompatibility, nonimmunogenity, and resistance to protein adsorption. For efficient synthesis of emulsion, modification of PEG by highly active phosphorous oxychloride is required in our system. This protocol is mainly to take advantage of the strong reactivity of phosphorous oxychloride to achieve a chemical crosslink in the presence of diversified monochain diamines in a one-pot method. The viscosity of obtained emulsion is tunable by monochain diamines. This protocol exhibits a series of promising advantages including a short reaction time, mass-production, easy separation, and high yield. Obtained emulsion has been used to be as additive of paint. The biocompatibility and fire resistance of modified paint are demonstrated.
