제목 Two-Dimensional Nano Crystal Structures from Self Assembled Peptide Materials
초록 Proteins and peptides are easy to form complex functional systems or self-assembly of monomeric units by multiple noncovalent interactions. These natural polymers fold into specific three-dimensional structures by specific sequences of amino acids. Many approaches have been reported so far, to control these unique structures by designing amino acid sequences. However, synthesis of well defined nano structures from peptides still remains a challenge. Recently, two-dimensional (2D) nano structures have drawn much attention because they are expected to afford many interesting properties in bio and electronic application. During our previous study for the development of a removal system of amyloid proteins from plasma, we found that small peptides could be utilized as a seed to remove those by forming self assembled aggregates. Furthermore, we also have found that tyrosine based small peptides could be converted into extremely ordered ultrathin 2D crystalline structure.
