|제목||Highly fluorinated perfluorocyclobutane polymers with negligible vibrational absorption at near IR region|
|초록||Quantum mechanical calculation revealed that the intensity of aromatic C-H stretching vibrational absorption can be dramatically reduced depending upon the number of substituted fluorine atoms and the substituted position due to electronic effects of fluorine. We have found that when an aromatic unit has two fluorine substitutions, di-substituted fluorine at para position makes the most dramatical reduction of the remaining C-H vibrational strength. We confirmed these results by synthesis of 4,4'-bis(trifluorovinyloxy)benzene. From IR spectroscopy, we have found that the intensity of aromatic C-H stretching at 3050cm-1 is greatly reduced because of the fluorine substitution. The monomer was thermally polymerized to obtain a PFCB containg polymer. Synthesized monomer and polymer are characterized by 1H, 19F NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Synthesis, characterization, thermal and optical properties of this new polymer are presented.
