제목 Non-invasive monitoring of the neuronal stem cell proliferation within injectable and mechanically tunable gelatin hydrogels
초록 Recently, the injectable hydrogels have been used in regenerative medicine to provide biomechanical support for stem cells and to fill up lost tissue area together with stem cells. In this study, in situ forming and mechanically tunable gelatin hydrogels were developed as an injectable matrix for tissue regenerative medicine. The hydrogel was rapidly formed using horseradish peroxidase and H2O2. Their mechanical properties could be controlled by changing the catalysts concentrations. In vitro/in vivo studies were investigated using stable cell line transduced with an enhanced firefly luciferase retroviral vector within the hydrogel formed with the different stiffness. The luciferase activity was monitored by bioluminescence imaging. Obtained results demonstrated that the non-invasive monitoring system using the injectable hydrogels may be a powerful tool to evaluate the characteristics of stem cells within the matrix for therapeutic application in tissue regenerative medicine.
