제목 Rheological Properties of Themoplastic Elastomer Filled with Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes
초록 Polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) was melt-compounded with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) using an internal mixer. The effects of MWNTs (0.5 to 5 wt%) on the rheological and other physical properties of TPE were investigated. The presence of MWNTs increased the dynamic viscosity with the loading level. The TPE/MWNT composites exhibited non-Newtonian flow behavior over the frequency range examined, which was more noticeable at higher CNT content. The FESEM images of fractured surface showed that the nanotubes were well dispersed in the TPE matrix without large agglomerates on the whole. The crystallization temperatures were increased by ca. 8 °C showing that the MWNTs acted as a nucleating agent. However, the nanotubes had little effect on the melting temperatures. In addition, the tensile modulus of nanocomposites was increased with MWNT content.
