제목 development of an elastic scaffold by supercritical co2 technique for cartilage regeneration
초록 Introduction: PLCL[poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)] is an elastic polymer which has similar compressive modulus to native cartilage tissue. PLCL scaffolds can provide a good mechanical environment for cartilage regeneration. But, the previous methods for fabrication of PLCL scaffolds still have limitation, because organic solvent and porogen are used. Supercritical carbon dioxide foaming technique has advantages of nontoxic and simple process. Method: PLCL which was saturated in scCO2 supersaturate with venting of CO2. Analysis: The porosity and pore size of the scaffold were measured by a mercury intrusion porosimeter and SEM . The interconnectivity was confirmed by rhodamine solution method. The compressive modulus was measured by instron. And the ability of cartilage regeneration of the scaffold was confirmed through in vitro and in vivo test. Conclusion: It is considered that the scaffold by scCO2 foaming technique could be useful as a scaffold for cartilage regeneration.
