제목 Development of a composite scaffold for osteochondral regeneration
초록 The importance of the study for the regeneration of an osteochondral composite has emerged as being an aging society. In this study, an osteochondral composite scaffold was fabricated by combining a sintering method and a gel pressing method. A PLGA/beta-TCP scaffold was used for the part of bone and a PLCL scaffold was used for the part of cartilage. The compressive modulus and the porosity of the scaffold were measured by an Instron and a mercury intrusion porosimeter, respectively. The interconnectivity and the structure of the scaffold were observed by SEM. Also, the bioactivity and the biocompatibility were tested in vitro and in vivo experiments. From the results, we confirmed that our osteochondral composite scaffolds had appropriate physiological and biological properties for the regeneration of osteochondral composites; consequently, it is considered that they could be useful for the treatment of osteochondral defects.
