제목 Preparation and Properties of Modified Polymer Particle for Toner-type E-Paper Application
초록 The electrophoretic display has some desirable features of reflective, light weight, thin film and low power consumption but it has limitations of slow response characteristics and operation on high cost of active matrix. Toner-type display using a liquid-like powder has high response characteristics and it can be operated on low cost of passive matrix due to a presence of threshold voltage. In order to use for toner-type electronic paper display, various characteristics, such as particle size, distribution, triboelectrical charge property, surface energy, etc. should be well adjusted. In this work, we demonstrate a preparation of modified polymer particles and their characteristics for toner-type electronic paper application. Detail study on particle properties and dynamic response characteristics in applied electric field will be discussed.
