제목 Synthesis of Amphiphilic Poly(vinyl alcohol) Block Copolymers via Reversible Addition Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) Polymerization
초록 Amphiphilic block copolymers containing poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) as a hydrophilic block were synthesized via reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. RAFT polymerization is the most versatile processes in terms of the reaction conditions, the variety of monomers for which polymerization can be controlled. Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) was first synthesized by RAFT polymerization as an macroRAFT agents and used to synthesize the next hydrophobic blocks such as polystyrene, poly(methyl methacrylate), and poly(4-vinylpyridine). The resulting PVAc block was hydrolyzed into PVA.
