제목 Comparing various CCU products with Sustainable Feasibility Index (SFI)
초록 Various carbon capture and utilization (CCU) products and their production methods have been researched for CO2 emission reduction. There are many results for evaluating its economic or environmental performance compared to the existing technology however, there is no method or result that considers both factors at the same time. We present ‘Sustainable Feasibility Index’ (SFI), a new index which considers economics and environmental performance simultaneously, and applied it to methanol, formic acid, Fischer-Tropsch liquid process, the representative CCU products. Using process modeling data, we analyzed the economics and environmental performance of each process, and calculate SFI from the result. Furthermore, based on the comparison results, we identified the improvements in each process and index.
