||The liquid hydrogen becomes the essential consideration in the storage and transportation of the hydrogen energy. The challenges of the liquid hydrogen transportation are that the technology of the terminal for trading liquid hydrogen is not yet developed, and that the boil-off is a critical issue because of the low temperature 20 K. In this study, the configuration of the liquid hydrogen is proposed with boil-off gas re-liquefaction. The numerical model of boil-off rate is constructed to accurately describe the process. The case study is performed to analyze the energy consumption and cost of the process by changing the tank volume, insulation material, residence time, and operating pressure of the recondenser. The result shows that the inexpensive and economic insulation material is possible whenever the amount of send-out is sufficient to re-liquefy the boil-off gas.
