제목 Reactor modeling for CO2 heterogeneous Catalytic hydrogenation to formic acid using CFD
초록 A 2D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model was developed to study the flow behavior and catalytic hydrogenation reaction of CO2 to formic acid in a fixed-bed reactor (FBR). Iridium phosphine complex catalyst chained with polyethyleneimine and supported by titanate nanotubes designed by Y.Kuwahara et al(2017) was reported as an active heterogeneous catalyst for the production of formic acid with a turn over number of >1000 for 20 hours. Reaction kinetics data developed by Y.Kuwahara et al(2017) for the specified catalyst was used for the CFD model in this study. The CFD model results were validated using experimental data. The CFD model was also used to foresee key reaction variable distributions such as the temperature, pressure drop and the component concentrations in the reactor.
