제목 Chemiresistive Gas Sensor based on Highly ordered Volcano-like Nanostructures for Diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer
초록  Many types of cancers such as prostate, lung, bronchus, and colorectal cancer are still considered to be a critical reason for the global pubilc health problem. In addition, this chronic disease records the second highest cause of death in the world. Among them, a survival rate of colorectal cancer, however, can be significantly improved when it is found at early stage. Unfortunately, approximately 33% of testers who suffer from the colorectal cancer pass the screen. It can be explained by the current issues that the patients do not recognize the significance of the test and/or the testing procedures generally requires complex, expensive and daunting steps.
In this study, we present a noninvasive and simple method for early diagnosis of the colorectal cancer using a semiconducting gas sensor. Highly ordered volcano-like nanostructures with metal catalyst such as SnO2 nanovolcanos with Au nanoparticles were used as sensing materials, which were fabricated by a soft-template method with excimer laser annealing. Structural properties of our sensors were investigated by XRD, SEM, and TEM. Upon exposure to methyl mercaptan (CH3SH) which is biomarker of colorectal cancer, Response of Au-functionalized SnO2 nanovolcanos to CH3SH was approximately 4000 and their theoretical detection limit was 0.037 ppt for CH3SH.
