제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Functionalized Silsesquioxanes
초록 Epoxy has been widely used as adhesive, coating, rigid foam because of excellent properties such as excellent mechanical properties and chemical properties. In particular, cycloaliphatic epoxy provides improved environmental resistance compared to aromatic epoxy. In addition, cycloaliphatic epoxy can be applied to various fields than aromatic epoxy because of resistance to ultraviolet degradation. Unfortunately, cycloaliphatic epoxy has low thermal properties. In this study, we were synthesized two types of cycloaliphatic epoxy functionalized silsesquioxanes for improving thermal and mechanical properties. Synthesized silsesquioxane structures have polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) and ladder-like polysilsesquioxane (LPSQ). As a result, synthesized silsesquioxane show high thermal stability over 400℃ at TGA, and high hardness over 0.49GPa at nanoindentation.
