|제목||Comparison of Photocatalytic Effects of Pure TiO2 with P25, Black TiO2 and TiO2/RH-SiO2 Composites|
|초록||Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is mainly used as a photocatalyst, because of it have high catalytic activity and chemical stability. Conventional TiO2 absorbs light in the ultraviolet region, but TiO2 made in hydrogen atmosphere becomes black when it absorbs light in the visible region. Black TiO2 generally has a band gap of 2.54 eV and absorbs light in the visible region, indicating enhanced photocatalytic activity. In addition, rice husk silica (RH-SiO2) nanoparticles are able to synthesize from rice husk obtained after threshing of rice, which is economical and eco-friendly in comparison with conventional method using silica precursors.
This study focuses on the comparison of photolysis performance of pure anatase TiO2, P25, Black anatase TiO2 and TiO2/RH-SiO2 composites. The photolysis performance of each sample was observed through the decomposition of methylene blue. As a result, among the samples, pure anatase TiO2 and P25 indicated similar and highest photolysis performance.
