제목 Toward high-capacity Si-based anode materials for lithium ion batteries
초록 Si-based materials are the most promising candidates to surpass the capacity limitation of conventional graphite anode for lithium ion batteries (LIBs). However, they suffer from poor cycling performance and dimensional instability induced by the large volume changes during cycles. To resolve such problems, various Si/SiOx composites with delicately controlled microstructures and interfaces have been intensively investigated, but the practical use of these materials is limited by the complexity and limited synthetic routes. Herein, we design and develop various Si/SiOx composite materials via nontoxic, precious-metal-free methods and thoroughly examined their feasibilities as future anode materials for LIBs. The resulting Si/SiOx composites show excellent cycle performance and rate capability with excellent dimensional stability through a microstructural engineering. It will provide a practical guideline for the development of high-capacity anode materials for advanced LIBs.
