제목 Anchoring of Carbon Quantum Dots on CdS Nanorods with Enhanced Visible Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution Activity
초록 CdS nanorods have been recognized as most promising candidate for photocatalytic hydrogen production owing to suitable bandgap (≈2.4 eV). However, photocorrosion and rapid electron-hole recombination limit the photocatalytic H2 evolution activity. Carbon quantum dots (CQDs), have attracted increasing attention in the photocatalysis due to their excellent optical properties, up-conversion photoluminescence, chemical inertness, and conjugated π structure which allows them to be electron transporters and acceptors. Therefore, CQDs can be used as promising co-catalyst to improve the photocatalytic activity. In the present work, we prepared the CdS nanorod composites by loading different amount of CQDs and systematically characterized. The role of CQDs on photocatalytic H2 evolution activity of CdS NRs was studied.
