||Durable polyketone ion exchange fibers were synthesized by Paal-Knorr reaction. The water uptake and ion exchange capacity of the synthesized polyketone anion exchange fibers were measured and the surface morphology of the fibers observed. FT IR spectral analysis was used to confirm the presence or absence of synthesis. Their amination rate was confirmed by EDS analysis. The water uptake was 19.2 %, the ion exchange capacity was 1.03 meq/g, and the amination rate was 59.06 %. Based on these results, the optimal reaction conditions were identified.
