||Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has many properties such as chemical stability and high catalytic activity. TiO2 is used as a photocatalyst, DSSC, semi-conductor. Moreover, Rice husk silica (RH-SiO2) nanoparticle can be synthesized from rice husk obtained after rice threshing, which is economical compared and eco-friendly with the conventional method using silica precursor. This study is focused on have better photolysis performance by the mixture of TiO2 and RH-SiO2 (TiO2/RH-SiO2) with its high surface area and photocatalytic activity. TiO2 commonly have three type of crystallinity such as anatase, rutile, and brookite, which these phase make an impact on the photocatalytic effect. Among the TiO2 samples calcined at respective temperature, T200 was higher photolysis performance. TiO2 and TiO2/RH-SiO2 were sprayed onto the paper stained with methyl orange and irradiated with UV light. As a result, TiO2/RH-SiO2 was observed higher performance in photolysis effect comparing with T200.
