제목 MgF2 나노입자 코팅층에 의한 발광 다이오드의 광추출 효율 향상
초록 We developed a strategy to minimize reflectivity and to enhance light extraction efficiency of phosphor-based glass converter for high power light emitting diodes (LEDs). In this study, MgF2 nanoparticles was prepared by hydrothermal method and was deposited on glass substrates for antireflection effect. Very low reflectance (<0.2%) was achieved with MgF2 nanoparticle layers and the excellent durability was provided to the layer by incorporating silicate binders. Owing to its high transmittance, the MgF2 can be applied as a light extraction layer in the LED. MgF2 nanoparticles were deposited on glass-based color converters of high power LEDs to enhance their extraction efficiency. Assisted by light extraction layers of MgF2 nanoparticles, the emission efficiency of white LEDs were highly enhanced and LEDs with high luminescence efficacy were prepared.
