제목 Study of ultrasonically activated carbon from lignin
초록 The use of lignin as a renewable carbon source is attracting recent research interest. It is the second most abundant natural polymer in the world, and it is readily available, as large quantities are being produced as a coproduct of the pulp and paper. In this study, Kraft lignin powders were carbonized at different temperatures using a furnace. The carbonized carbon was treated ultrasonically to improve properties. The particle sizes, microscopic structures, and surface properties of treated lignin were investigated. It is expected that the carbonized lignin prepared by biomaterial wastes will replace commercial fillers in eco-friendly plastic fields.
