|제목||Photolysis Effect of Titanium Dioxide according to Calcination Temperature.|
|초록|| Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is used as photocatalyst with the capability of decomposing organic pollutant to low cost, non-toxicity, chemical stability and high catalytic activity. This study was investigated the photocatalytic performance of TiO2 nanoparticles according to calcination temperature. We focused on observing photolysis of TiO2 nanoparticles calcined at 200, 500, 700, and 900 ℃ (TiO2-200, 500, 700, and 900) into methyl orange under halogen lamp in darkroom equipment. The photolysis performance was confirmed every 15-minute interval by a change in absorbance using UV-spectroscopy.
As a result, the photolysis performance of TiO2-200 having an amorphous crystal structure was high efficiency enough to visually confirm the color change of methyl orange. With this result, it is presented potentiality to be applied for the removal of organic pollutants.
