|제목||Photocatalytic Performance of Titanium Dioxide by Reflux|
|초록|| Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been studied to applications in photocatalyst field, having many properties such as low toxicity, low cost, high catalytic activity and chemical stability characteristics. TiO2 has a wide band gap energy that can absorb the range of ultraviolet light. The crystallinity of TiO2 is mainly divided into anatase, rutile, and brookite. The types of crystallinity affect catalytic activity and band gap as well.
This study focused on the photocatalytic performance according to the morphology of TiO2 synthesized depending on the presence of the reflux. TiO2 was calcined at 200 °C and characterized by XRD, SEM, and Methyl Orange photolysis test. Consequently, TiO2 with reflux showed higher the photolysis performance with 59.81% than TiO2 without reflux. The results indicated that the reflux affected re-dispersity of TiO2, drawing enhanced photolysis performance.
