제목 Enhanced toughness effect of stereocomplex by adding Silane
초록 PLA is biodegrable, nontoxic, water soluble material. However, PLA has poor thermal property and mechanical property. Stereocomplex which is blending with PLLA and PDLA has higher thermal property and better mechanical property than homo PLLA and PDLA.  In this study, Poly(L-lactide) and Poly(D-lactide) were prepared by ring opeing polymerization for blending stereocomplex. Stereocomplex film is prepared by solution casting.  However, Stereocomplex has restricted application in various area because of high brittleness. To endure this problem, Good mechanical property is achieved by adding a low amount of organosilanes(1-5wt%). Adding a low amount of organosilanes increases its toughness and ductility. In the present study, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) show morphology difference. And Universal testing machine (UTM) indicate improvement of tensile strength.
