제목 Eelctrostriction of PU/MMT Nanocomposite with Flexible Electrodes as an Actuator
초록 Polyurethane is one of the electrostrictive polymers and has merits of high actuation power density, low cost and good processability. In this study, polyurethanes (PUs) with flexible electrode were used as electroactive polymer actuator. Electrode layers were made by carbon black particles dispersed in waterborne PU, and coated on the both sides of PU film by spin coater. We synthesized polyurethanes using poly(neopentyl adipate diol) (PNAD) or poly(tetramethylene glycol) (PTMG) as soft segments. PU with PTMG had better mechanical properties than PU with PNAD. However, PU with PTMG had smaller field-induce strain than that of PU with PNAD. So we introduced organically modified montmorillonite (MMT) to improve field-induced strain of pure PU. PU/MMT nanocomposites with MMT content of 5wt% had the largest displacement.
