제목 Does the amine functional group in Zr-MOFs act as an enhancement for decomposition of Nerve Agents?
초록 Exposure to toxic chemical warfare agents(CWAs) is a potential hazard to the armed forces and to civilian populations. Especially, nerve agents such as Soman(GD) and VX are the amongst the most toxic chemical compound known to mankind. When the nerve agents are released into environmental, they must be promptly eliminated because they can couse death within a few minutes after exposure and persist in the emvironment for several weeks after release. We conducted a series of decontamination experiments for GD and VX by Zr-based Metal-Organic Frameworks(MOFs) namely UiO-66 and UiO-66-NH2 particles in neat condition and aqueous solution at room temperature. On the bases of the experimental results, we are going to discuss the role of amine functional group in Zr-based MOFs on the decomposition reaction of GD and VX.
