제목 Functional Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Nanosheets for the Selective and Sensitive Detection of Bacteria
초록 It is great interest to confer artificial recognition phases on two-dimensional nanomaterials for the selective and sensitive detection of biological molecules without the use of antibodies. Herein, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) such as WS2, WSe2, and MoSe2 were exfoliated and functionalized by a polymer dextran (dex) in an aqueous solution via a pulsed ultrasonication process. The dex-functionalized TMD nanosheets (dex-TMDs) exhibited very strong Raman signals and fluorescence emmision in a visible range. In addition, the dex-TMDs showed outstanding colloidal stability in solution. The dex-TMDs were then able to selectively detect pathogenic E. coli at a single copy against Salmonella and S. aureus without the use of any antibodies.
