제목 Design of a new A-D-A type small-molecule with different terminal groups to enable interplay of intramolecular noncovalent coulomb interactions
초록 We designed and synthesized a A-D-A type small moleuces with thiophene-phenylene based central donor unit (P3T4) and different terminal acceptor groups of dicyanovinylene (VCN), dicyanorhodanine (RCN) and dicyanoindenedione (INCN). The central donor unit is designed to allow intramolecular noncovalent Coulomb interaction. We conducted a systematic investigation on the relationship between the structural properties and charge transport in OFETs. It was observed that the P3T4-INCN exhibits strongly edge-on pi-pi stacking after thermal annealing, leading to an increased hole and electron mobility of 0.080 and 0.046 cm2V-1s-1, respectively, compared with P3T4-VCN and P3T4-RCN. Interestingly, all the P3T4-based SMs exhibit outstanding ambipolar characteristics. Furthermore, to explore the photovoltaic properties, we fabricated OPVs with PC71BM. P3T4-INCN produced the best PCE of 5.6% with optimal morphology via solvent vapor annealing.
