제목 Preparation and Characterization of In Situ Forming Fish Gelatin Hydrogels for Tissue Regeneration
초록 Gelatin hydrogel is promising biomaterial for various biomedical applications. Previously, we developed in situ forming hydrogel from porcine skin gelatin by HRP-catalyzed cross-linking reaction. Herein, we prepared HRP-crosslinked fish gelatin hydrogels (GFH) and evaluated their physicochemical and biological properties. Compared to porcine skin gelatin, fish gelatin has the lower melting point that enable hydrogel formation at room temperature and decreases the risk of transmission diseases from mammalians sources. The mechanical strength of GFH gels was lower than that of GH gels but still tunable in a wide range (0.7-4.1 kPa) for diverse applications. The swelling ratio, morphological structure and degradation rate of GFH gels were also studied. The cellular behaviors (adhesion, spreading and proliferation) in 2D and 3D microenvironment of GFH hydrogels were comparable to that of GH hydrogels. Thus, we expect that fish gelatin hydrogels are promising for tissue regeneration.
