||Selective oligomerization of ethylene to 1-hexene and 1-octene have gained increased attention recently due to the importance of 1-hexene and 1-octene in the production of LLDPE. Immobilization of transition metal complexes on solid supports is well known as an efficient method to handle and recover catalysts. Among these supports material, polystyrene based materials are widely used to create recyclable catalysts. Homogeneous diphosphate ligand was supported on a functionalized polymer. The catalytic reaction for ethylene tri-/tetramerization was performed with Cr catalyst. The supported diphosphate ligand and products were well characterized by NMR, FT-IR, GC-FID, XRD and TGA-DSC. Ethylene tri-/tetramerization was carried out under 30 bar of ethylene atmosphere using mMAO-3A as co-catalyst. The system with the heterogeneous ligand shows higher value of 1-hexene and 1-octene purity.
