제목 Polymer matrix reinforced anion exchange membrane based on cross-linked poly(phenylene oxide)-co-polystyrene for reverse electrodialysis system
초록 A kind of clean energy reverse electrodialysis(RED) can fulfill the current global electricity demand. Important requisites for ion exchange membrane in RED systems are high power density. In this study, novel anion exchange membranes(AEMs) are composed with different mixtures of functionalized poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide)(PPO) and polystyrene(PS) in many matrix such as plasma treatment PE, dopamine treatment PE, LCP. The composite membranes were cross-linked to improve their mechanical stability. Membrane properties, such as chemical structure(1H-NMR), ion exchange capacity, water uptake, pH tolerance, permselectivity, area resistance were measured. In conclusion, APSPPO-5.0 that we proposed showed 2.3% power density relatively greater than commercial AMX membrane under the same condition.
