|제목||Multi-functionalized additive for long-term cycling performance of lithium-ion battery|
|초록||As increasing demands for large-scale devices such as electric vehicles and energy storage systems, Ni-rich NCM materials have gain noticeable attention because of its high specific capacity. However, electrochemical decomposition of electrolyte occurred at electrode surface leads to poor cycling performance especially at high temperature.
In this work, divinyl sulfone is proposed as bi-functional additive. The electrochemical oxidation of DVS affords stable cathode-electrolyte interphases (CEI) layer on electrode surface. As a result, the cell cycled with DVS exhibits low internal pressure during electrochemical process (which is attributed to electrolyte decomposition) and remarkable cycling performance at high temperature. Additional analyses combined with experimental and first-principal calculation give useful evidence to estimate reaction pathway for formation of DVS-derived CEI layer on Ni-rich NCM electrode.
