제목 Thin film nanostructure studies of lipid-mimic brush polymers based on X-ray reflectivity
초록 A series of well-defined nanoscale thin films using poly(oxy(11- phosphorylcholineundecylthiomethyl)ethylene-ran-oxy(n-dodecylthiomethyl)ethylene) (PECH-PCm: m = 0–100 mol% phosphorylcholine (PC)) polymers were characterized based on synchrotron X-ray reflectivity (XR) analysis. A well-ordered in-plane oriented molecular multibilayer structure was found at PECH-PC0 polymer film, whose individual layers consisted of two sublayers. Also, the PECH-PC100 polymer film formed in-plane oriented molecular multibilayer structure with good ordering. Surprisingly, all PECH-PCm random copolymer molecules in the thin films form a multilayered structure that resembled the structure formed by the PECH-PC100 polymer via self-assembling regardless of the copolymer composition. The PECH-PCm polymers always provide a PC-rich surface because of multibilayer structure, successfully mimicked the molecular bilayer structures formed by natural lipids.
