제목 Water-vapor permeability, morphological properties, and optical properties of variably hydrolyzed poly(vinyl alcohol)/linear low-density polyethylene composite films
초록 Poly(vinyl alcohol)/linear low-density polyethylene (PVA/LLDPE) composite films with various molecular weights and degrees of hydrolysis were prepared. The crystallinity, glass transition temperature, water permeability, water absorption, mechanical properties, and optical properties of the composite films were analyzed based on the change in the adsorption properties of PVA with molecular weight and degree of hydrolysis. Among the well-formed LLDPE composite films with PVA 205, 4-88, and 4-98, the 4-98 film had a total luminous transmittance similar to that of the LLDPE film, the lowest haze value, and the lowest constant water vapor permeability maintained for the longest time. The 4-98/LLDPE composite film absorbed water gradually and continuously for a long time, because its water vapor adsorption ability was lower than that of the PVA 205/LLDPE film and similar to that of the 4-88/LLDPE film. The mechanical properties of the 4-98/LLDPE film were slightly better than those of the 4-88/LLDPE film but worse than those of the PVA 205/LLDPE film.
