제목 Electrochemical performance of cellulose whisker-based carbon materials for supercapacitors
초록 Supercapacitors are electrical energy storage devices for various high-power applications. In order to use supercapacitor system, it is very important to choose the proper carbon precursor for electrode. We report on electrochemical properties of regenerated cellulose whiskers (RCWs)-based carbon materials as electrodes for supercapacitors. The electrode materials of RCWs prepared by acid hydrolysis and freeze-drying were suffered from high temperature for carbonization and chemical activation with KOH. As a result, the slower charge/discharge kinetics of RCWs electrodes at low scan rates is attributed to the more pseudocapacitive reaction, which is expected to facilitate ion transport during the charge-discharge reactions.
