||PPE(polyphenylene ether) is well known and confirmed by its engineering applications widely. PPE has flame retardancy, thermal resistance, dimensional stability, mechanical properties etc. PPE is an engineering plastic but has the disadvantage of low processing conditions(processing temperature, injection molding etc.) because of its rigid structure. So PPE should be blended with other polymers but in that case of previous condition, its flame retardancy gets worse significantly. In this study, we prepared the blend of PPE/engineering plastic composites with appropriate compatibilizers and impact modifier by using twin screw extruder and injection molding machine. Finally, we analyzed the mechanical property and flame retardancy by using UTM, Izod impact strength equipment, SEM, cone calorimeter etc.
