제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Micro-patterned  Photochromic Liquid Crystalline Polymer Film
초록 We have newly synthesized a novel photochromic polymer abbreviated as PNLCP via the acrylic di-ene metathesis polymerization. Based on the combined techniques of DSC, POM, UV-vis, 1D and 2D WAXD, it was identified that PNLCP formed a nematic (N) LC ordered phase containing the cyclonically tilted smectic-C type cybotactic clusters, in which packing structure is related to the head-to-side connected PNLCP chemical structure. Moreover, we have demonstrated the re-writable micro-patterned PNLCP film and it showed reversible photo-activated bending/unbending behaviors responding to UV-vis light irradiation. As a result, This PNLCP film can be applied as materials in Opto-electronic devices. This work was mainly supported by basic science research program and BK21 PLUS program, Korea.
