||Nitrogen doping is carried out in the segregation process of the carbon materials, nitrogen atoms can be doped into the graphene lattice. Hereby nitrogen doping changed the electronic properties. In this work, we have developed nitrogen-doped graphene by using 1-methylimidazole as a nitrogen source and graphene oxide as a precusor. It was formed at the hydrothermal temperature of 800 °C for 2 h. According to the XPS measurements, the level of nitrogen doping in the graphene was 3.99%. This hydrothermal method can provide the synthesis of nitrogen-doped graphene sheets in large scale for various applications.
