Further to the paper "Application of the impedance model of de Levie for the characterization of porous electrodes" by Barcia et al. [Electrochim. Acta 47 (2002) 2109]
An approach to the analysis of the impedance of porous electrodes proposed by Barcia et al. [Electrochim. Acta 47 (2002) 2109] is reconsidered. It is pointed out that the impedance data are not sufficient to deter-mine pore length (l) pore radius (r) and number of pores (n), since their analysis can only yield two combinations of these geometrical parameters: nr(3/2) and 1/root r However, if one of the geometrical parameters l, r or n is known from an independent measurement, the impedance data can provide the information for estimating the others.
