Domestic R&D trend analysis of functional food using medical plants
Nowadays the concerns about the functional food as the approach method for the health promotion or disease prevention have highly elated according to the increase of the national income and interests in health. Though the physiological activities of medical plants has been made a study for a long time, recently the studies on the efficacy of medical plants or herbs have accelerated by the biotechnology development and the basic study and commercialization study for the industrialization of medical plants are well advanced applying the medical plant material for food, drug and cosmetic etc. This study will show the R&D trend and industrial status of functional food using medical plants through the domestic patent analysis of functional food derived from medical plants.
