실리카 초미분체의 표면 개질에 관한 연구
Study on the Surface Modification of Silica Nanoparticle

Carboxylic acid와 silane계의 다양한 표면 개질화재를 사용한 액상 반응으로 기상반응에 의해 제조된 실리카 초미분체의 표면 개질을 행하였다. 처리된 실리카 초미분체의 소수화도는 메탄올 젖음도, 접촉각과 FT-IR의 측정으로 평가하였다. 실리카 입자의 소수화도는 표면 개질화제의 함유량과 구조에 크게 영향을 받았다. 특히 본 연구에서 사용한 표면 개질화제 중에서 톨루엔을 용매로 사용한 octadecyltrichlorosilane 계가 소수성과 분산성에 대해서 가장 뛰어난 특성을 보이는 것을 알 수 있다.
The surface modification of silica nanoparticle by the gaseous reaction was prepared by carrying out by liquid phase reaction with various surface modifiers of carboxylic acid and silane types. The hydrophobicity of the treated-silica nanoparticle was characterized by methanol wettability, contact angle, and FT-IR measurements. The hydrophobicity was significantly influenced by the content and the structure of the surface modifier. Especially, it has been found that among the surface modifiers used here, octadecyltrichlorosilane with toluene, as a solvent, was the most effective for hydrophobicity and dispersity.
