수용액에서 탄산칼슘에 대한 테트라에틸암모늄 하이드록사이드의 분산 효과
Dispersion Effect of tetraethylammonium Hydroxide for Calcium Carbonate in Aqueous Solution

테트라에틸암모늄 하이드록사이드는 수용액에서 탄산칼슘의 분산에 효과적이었으며 30 wt% 탄산칼슘 현탁액에서 테트라에틸암모늄 하이드록사이드의 효과적인 처리량은 0.60 wt%이었다. 이 조건에서 평균 입경이 균일하고 현탁액의 점도도 낮게 나타났으며 현탁액의 제타포텐셜 에너지 또한 분산 안정성을 양호하게 유지시킬 수 있었다. 탄산칼슘에 테트라에틸암모늄 하이드록사이드의 처리후 pH를 6∼12의 범위로 조절하여도 입도의 변화는 균일하였으며 이는 양이온성 테트라에틸암모늄 하이드록사이드의 우수한 상호 반발 작용 때문이다.
Tetra ethyl ammonium hydroxide was very effective in dispersion of calcium carbonate in water, and the effective amount of tetra ethyl ammonium hydroxide was 0.6 wt% at 30 wt% of calcium carbonate suspension. At the above condition the values of average particle diameter, viscosity and zeta potential energy were uniform enough to maintain the dispersion stability. After treatment of tetra ethyl ammonium hydroxide on the calcium carbonate surface, the adjusted pH between 6 and 12 had no significant impact on the variation of particle diameters and it remained uniform. This was due to adsorption of the cationic tetraethylammonium hydroxide eletrolyte on to the calcium carbonate that strengthened mutual repulsion.
