알지네이트와 금속이온이 가교된 다공성 실리콘 하이드로젤 콘택트렌즈의 특성
Characteristics of Porous Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lens Crosslinked with Alginate and Metal Ions
초록
다공성 콘택트렌즈에 알지네이트와 금속이온을 가교하여 콘택트렌즈의 특성변화를 분석하고자 하였다. 다공성 콘택트렌즈를 제작하고, 상호침투고분자네트워크로 알지네이트를 네트워크하였으며 Na+과 Ca2+과 같은 금속이온으로 2차적인 네트워크를 진행하였다. 다공성 콘택트렌즈의 함수율, 산소투과도, 광투과도, 습윤성 등 물리적 특성은 비다공성 콘택트렌즈에 비해 월등히 향상되었으나 기계적강도는 매우 감소하였다. 알지네이트가 네트워크되면 함수율, 산소투과도, 습윤성, 기계적 강도가 증가하였으며 단백질 흡착량은 감소하였다. 금속이온이 배위결합된 콘택트렌즈는 Na+이 Ca2+ 보다 특성에서 우수함을 보였다. 다공성 콘택트렌즈에 알지네이트와 금속이온을 가교함으로써 콘택트렌즈의 특성이 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.
Cross-linking of porous contact lenses with alginate and metal ions was conducted to analyze the change in the properties of contact lenses. A porous contact lens was fabricated, an alginate was networked by an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) method, and a secondary network was additionally made with metal ions. Physical properties such as water content, oxygen permeability, light transmittance, and wettability of porous contact lenses were significantly improved compared to non-porous contact lenses, but mechanical strength was greatly reduced. When alginate was networked, the moisture content, oxygen permeability, wettability, and mechanical strength increased, and the amount of protein adsorption decreased. In the contact lens coordinated with metal ions, Na+ was superior to Ca2+ in all properties except for mechanical strength It was confirmed that the properties of the contact lens were improved by crosslinking alginate and metal ions in the porous contact lens.
