Preparation of coral-like Ag2MoO4-TiO2 heterostructure and its photocatalytic properties
In this work, TiO2 nanofibers were prepared by combining electrospinning with an impregnation calcination technique. Ag2MoO4 nanoparticles at various concentrations were successfully deposited onto the surface of the nanofibers by hydrothermal synthesis method. Photocatalytic activities of samples for methyl orange degradation were investigated. The results indicate that Ag2MoO4-TiO2 nanofibers could efficiently degrade methyl orange upon the irradiation with UV-light, showing a greater photocatalytic activity than the pure titanium dioxide.
