An experimental determination of the enthalpies of formation of binary intermetallic phases Fe2Ce and Fe17Ce2 in the Fe-Ce system and the ternary intermetallic phase Fe13.1-11.0Mn3.9-6.0Ce2 (tau(1)) in the Fe-Mn-Ce system was carried out using drop solution calorimetry.
