Preparation of Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Sensor on Electrochemically Reduced Graphene Oxide Modified Electrode for Selective Probing of Thiabendazole
An original molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) sensor was constructed by fabricating a membrane on the surface of electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO)-modified electrode, for selective and sensitive probing of thiabendazole (TBZ). The membrane was prepared by means of electropolymerization, with o-phenylenediamine (oPD) and resorcinol (REC) as the monomers while TBZ as the template. The sensor features were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The results suggested that the prepared sensor displayed good selectivity toward TBZ compared with three analogues. Under the optimal conditions, the current response of the imprinted sensor was linear to thiabendazole concentration in the ranges of 5.0 x 10(-7)-1.0 x 10(-5) M and 1.0 x 10(-5) - 1.2 x 10(-4) M, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 1.25 x 10(-7) M (S/N = 3). Finally, the imprinted electrochemical sensor was applied in the specific detection of TBZ in real samples with spiked recoveries of 96.3-104.9%. (c) 2019 The Electrochemical Society.
